We
were on our way to Ipoh and my husband decided to stop by at Gua Tempurung, to introduce the place to our host daughter. We didn't have enough time to explore the cave.
Together with our host daughter from Austria, we went to the leaning tower in Malaysia, the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan (Menara Condong Teluk Intan). The tower is located in the center of a square surrounded by Jalan Pasar, Jalan Selat, Jalan Bandar and Jalan Ah Cheong.
My children had not been in the tower itself. They were so excited to be able to walk into the clock tower. The opening hours of the tower is from 8am to 5pm from Mondays to Fridays and 9am to 6pm during weekends and public holidays.

| This Gaharu tree is full of bird's nests. According to our guide, this tree is standing at a slope, thus these 'clever' little birds (Murai Kampung/Magpie Robin) chose it to build their nest. |

Located in Batu Gajah, Perak, the castle is not as famous as the Taj Mahal but there are some similarities, both in architecture as in the story of its building. A grand mansion with a six-storey tower, wine cellar, stately columns, moorish arches and walls embellished with Greco-Roman designs. There was to be a rooftop courtyard for parties and even an elevator, the first of its kind in the country. But the building was never to be completed. Work halted in December 1926 with the sudden demise of its owner, William Kellie-Smith, a Scottish rubber tycoon during the late 19th Century. |
